From the Mothership and Back

What is HumanHeartNature?

Basically it is an all organic hodgepodge of beauty and health care products which me and my family are going gaga over. Why? Well one, because all products are made mostly from natural substances and materials which neither harm your skin nor your wallet and two, it supports charity. I have never been so happy to spend 300 pesos on complete hair care products which smells so good to eat that the scent could cause people to turn heads and wonder where the Fruitas stand is nearby (harhar). HHN provides a variety of products for head to toe care which doesn't leave you guilty clutching excitedly on their recycled paper bags when you leave their store or receive your order.
HHN is Pro-Philippines in the sense that it promotes indigenous means and materials in their manufacturing and sales.
HHN is Pro-Poor as it reaches out to those seeking employment and strengthens our workers in agriculture/farming and is teamed up with Gawad Kalinga and other organizations which help farmers in particular with their livelihood.
HHN is of course Pro-environment. Unlike other products who use large quantities of chemicals or synthesized materials which are harmful to our body, HHN aims to create products which prevents any toxic reactions that are also harmful to the environment.
What's not to love right? It's fairly priced, you have a variety of choices and you get to shop for charity!

AAAANNND, it is CRUELTY FREE.

HHN has been around for quite some time now and has been sold in some place usually by dealers in specific locations (NOTE: My ate's husband is a dealer in Pangasinan, please scroll down for details. I also take orders and deliver them to people around the UST belt and on special instances SM San Lazaro more details to be discussed later). I'm not surprised that lately, the craze with the "Going Green" or "Save Mother Earth," movement has taken HHN into the limelight.

As you can see from the pictures below, it has been featured in a number of magazines :)

When my sister and my mom first introduced the product line to us, we were quite skeptical of the quality since we were used to buying cosmetics that were well---not organic. My ate always told me that using department store lipstick or non-organic lipstick is like putting plastic on my skin and I instantly pictured myself swiping some sort of permanent plastic balloon covering on my lips which when put into contact with the sun, would burst (Still didn't throw my set away but I don't use them as often as I did). I trust my mom and ate afterall, they're both MDs, with my mom as a well to do and AHEM excellent specialist in skin (pagbigyan, I am just proud).

My ate and her husband eventually began to think of the idea of becoming a dealer once they've seen and tested their products and saw it as a quality and investment and indeed, it was true. It was amazing how fast our friends, family and friends of friends became interested in HHN once they read that it was all organic that eventually I volunteered to help out in the business as well.

The first batch of samples that my eldest sister gave to me and my other ate was composed of tinted lipbalms (Pink Orchid, Flame Tree and Island Kiss and yes I typed the names from memory. Gauge how often I used them now), their superb perfect coverage face powder and their blush (Rosy Pink). I adored them instantly and eventually ordered other products for my own as well.

Because of the hype, my eldest sister took me to their main office in Manila and I was literally overwhelmed (no wonder she warned me to not bring too much money to restrain myself for impulse buying...It was so hard...please clap for me).

I immediately got caught up with the dresser where make-up seemed to sputter all over the place like mushrooms. I almost went to the grocery with ombre-ish shades of pink, brown and red on my hands and wrist from trying on the effects of the testers. Luckily, I disciplined myself to just look at the pretty compacts and didn't end up looking literally multi-racial.

HHN tinted lipbalms are the best. They're very affordable and buying all three colors is an investment. You can rotate their use if you want to save those expensive lipsticks for special occasions or you can just use them as great bases or top coats for your lips (HHN also has lipsticks which go perfectly with the tinted balms). I love how it doesn't leave my lips chapped and too plumpy and mind you the Flame Tree has become my to-go lip 'oompher,' for the past few months. I can bring it everywhere and I don't mind using it alot since it doesn't bring out the spendthrift in me (I know preserving cosmetics is something we can't avoid but not using them in an ideal span of time could cause them to expire and leave you with allergic reactions and skin problems). The tinted lipbalms are great for students like me, especially if your in college or post-grad setting. It keeps your look natural and it doesn't take much to see the difference.

If you're the type of person who has problems with dry lips, then you are sure to enjoy these flavored balms. They smell great and well...taste great haha. (DON'T EAT IT BY CHUNK. I only tasted the chocolate because I licked my lips after I applied it).

All the pretty things.

I can't leave our place without making sure that I brought the perfect coverage powder with me. It gives a matte finish and blends well with my skin. It has different types of shades as well. If HHN would reproduce this with SPF the next time, it would be perfect.

When vanity strikes, I do impromptu make-up art. This is actually a practice make-up session before The Dark Knight Rises came out. I just patted on some perfected coverage and used the Flame Tree tinted lipbalm as a base and voila. No need for lipgloss or thick foundation.

Typical thesis day look for me would be composed of Pink Orchid lippie, masara and perfect coverage powder. No Fuss. No Worries. Long Lasting.

Literally used the Balancing Facial wash after I removed my makeup with Sunflower oil and felt incredibly refreshed so I took a picture haha and I quite like the output. The Elemi FW is so good and it doesn't sting.

Hair Care

I have tried all avocado hair are products and currently am trying the vanilla ones and I must say for someone who always has after-treatment-fromthesalon syndrome (dry, lifeless hair), it did wonders for me. Not only did the avocado mask return my healthy scalp but it also reduced my split ends. Lola was right all along.
No wonder vanilla and avocado shampoos and conditioners sell best.

Interiors of the Main Branch are simply so spot on. I love how everything looked so "earthy" for lack of a better word. PLUS the staff are such nice and warm people. Everything was neatly organized and lit and I love how it was all cleverly structured to represent a tree.

View from the top. I love how the branch details made it seem like ti was holding the entire building up.

Felt like my ate was walking through a forest and suddenly le wild werewolf appears. Kidding.

When you enter the store, the left side would have all of their main products displayed with two cashiers and a number of clerks to attend to your needs. The right side is sort of a lounge where you can enjoy their beautiful displays (which are mostly for sale as well and tied to other charities) featuring pictures of their activities and get this, they have a place for kids too and not to mention their overflowing/unlimited amount of three types of brewed coffee. (I still dream about them). It's so worth coming home with a major case of heart palpitation and rickety fingers. The three were so yummy. I personally loved the barako and drank 2 whole cups. I regret nothing. Magagalit nanaman si Dr. Uy.

Body Care
I extremely recommend their body scrubs, they're so sweet smelling and they give visible effects. I assure you that you will start panicking the moment that you see a clear bottom on your container.

This is honestly one of our best sellers. It feels so great on your skin that you want to bite yourself.
Afterall Julia Child always said, "With enough butter, everything is good."

Obviously and historically, one of the most demanded and highly appreciated and revolutionized product of HHN is the Sunflower beauty oil. It does ALOT. I swear, for one, it really does lighten skin. Because I cook at times, I tend to get hit or splattered on hot oil which unfortunately leaves burn marks and ever since I used the oil, it began to lighten. I also like the fact that my eyebags are starting to disappear now.

NOTE: A common question asked from us involves why the sunflower oil when opened or when an amount is left lying around the house, ants or other insets swarm to it. Well, to answer that, it just goes to show how organic it really it is. Think of it this way, a bee wouldn't go to a flower if it doesn't have nectae (nakss).

I love their sanitizers. They not costly and so effective. I especially appreciate the fact that when ink gets in my hand, it can remove it haha.

Other Goodies can be seen and bought at the store and my favorite and highly recommended would be the TheoPhilo chocolates. Once you see the pretty packaging and read the crazy flavors, your curiosity will leave your mouth watering with curiosity.  My personal favorite would be the chocolate with siling labuyo.

A lot of cute tees made by charity and eco-friendly groups are available at a very affordable price as well.

We spotted these Rattan-Man place mats and completely adored them. They're for sale too!

I couldn't help but purchase an eco bag for myself too. It's really handy :D

This bag is so nice. It's Prada Red and Beyonce Gold. Spell glam haha and it's completely made from our own raw materials. MUST HAVE.

They're so nice to look at right? Well, they're also nice to take home. These woody organizers/notebooks are so cute and stylish that the next time I see them, I might buy one. It's so classy to look at and could even pass for a clutch.

A lot of things you've seen are displayed on these shelves and are all for sale. Amazing. I saw some cereal bars and a flyer of a Spa where they only use organic and HHN products for their services.

Oh to buy a few bags for myself soon. Sarap talaga.
Flagship love

It's nice to see the coffee table wall decorated with pictures showcasing their hardwork. It makes you appreciate every sip more. P.S if you see me grinning like an idiot whenever I stare at this side of the store, it's because Mr. Tony Meloto, founder of Gawad Kalinga was there with us during our visit and he stood behind me for quite a while. By the time that we've mustered up the courage to ask him for a picture...well guess. Haha.

I told you we love  their free coffee (please don't ever take them away)

Because I practically gobbled up a pitcher's worth of coffee, I noticed that the rim of my cup began to redden and then I remembered that I coated on Flame Tree before left our unit. Still don't believe me yet? Check the cup and ignore the gross-ness.

Taken from my sister's phone via Instagram. Kami na ang feeling endorser haha.

The things that you should equip yourself with when going to flagship stores + moolah of course.

I still can't get over you...

Another great thing about HHN? The packaging. Their boxes are so handy and you can store a lot things besides your products. Helps with advertising :)

My updated essentials :) I cannot live without these. I'm not a phone junkie but other stuff well...that's another story.
