On Milk of Poppies

And so, the days turned into nights and seasons were long and kingdoms were far far far far far away...

Dun dun daRARA-run daNANA tururutoot (3X) Dun dun daRARA-run daNANA....

HBO is the destroyer of social lives. Seriously, upon hearing Ramin Djawadi's Game of Thrones opening, you knew instantly that you would get hooked and you don't even know what the whole thing is about!

First of all, when you've read nothing about the new series and you've seen no screen shot, all you're rewarded with is a bunch of CGI eye candy of maps, seas, growing trees and possibly a montage of Harry Potter-ish sigils flashing about in your screen and the only name you recognize is Sean Bean aka that guy who died in LOTR. So you're greeted with horses and scruffy looking guys in armor and blonde monarchy and well...GREAT HAIR, what else is there?

Well alot. Besides the overwhelming eyepopping moments for guys who like melons in the front and girls who like insanely pretty boys with accents, Game of Thrones is actually very riveting and breathtaking.

I loved it so much, I vowed to read the books in sequence according to the season that comes out per year. So yes, 1 book every year before the season shows. Or you could do the reverse if you don't want spoilers...

There are other reasons too you know and thus I heed to warn those who have not watched or read anything to stop reading. I don't hold back anything MUCH.

Game of Thrones doesn't center on MAGIC and hell yeah for that! It was weird at first but season 1 proved to be very intellectually captivating concentrating on monarchy, politics and family drama. Well...there is THAT thing about the White Walkers but hey, Medieval zombies are pretty cool!

Usually, I get annoyed by shifting of character view points but it was very well distributed in both screen and books. You just can't get attached though...GRRM is the grim reaper of all good/favorite characters. He likes killing his characters in ink because it adds more drama and makes you want to hate the Lannisters, well, Joffrey more (that rat bastard! everyone hates him. he makes Voldemort look like he was giving Harry a break! P.P.S. don't mistake this reference, I am a hardcore Potterhead). It's like very addition of a character leads to a death of one and the Starks, though, quite many, aren't enough. BOOM. SPOILER.

Ahhhh the discovery that is Emilia Clarke and her hair-pulling effect whenever she has scenes with Jason Momoa. KhaleesixDrogo forever.... Because of GoT, I have hated Miri maz Dur (yes, I know here effing name by memory), and all her juju loconess. So happy she got the Salem treatment :D hahahaha

It's amazing how George makes his fans fight over which House they support and who to root for the Iron Throne but I believe his greatest achievement was of the embodiment of Peter Dinklage of Tyrion Lannister. I believe he will be the most loved and most favorite characters in the whole series for all time. He is THAT brilliant.

And again, their HAIR. Sansa, Sansa, Sansa...you put the mane of your well-bred horses to shame! She has extremely great hair that makes you wanna put it on as a wig and sing Tangled-style! And have you seen the hair of the Stark kids? I mean hello, you just wanna run your hand through Richard Madden's locks like you were shooting for a Loreal commercial and Kit Harrington, you make bed-head look bad...

Redheads are awesome!

Don't you just wanna ruffle this thing????

So you think Gossip Girl and Grey's Anatomy was filled with issues? Issues only start with Cersei Lannister. She has practically scratched off much of what's in the bad girls' bucket list. I mean, she did spawn the evil that is Joffrey. Ooohhhh Batman, why did you let Katie Holmes protect that kid? You gave him the idea! Heehoohoohaaahaa.

you gotta love the langauge as well, I mean, if you get someone to create a whole new lingo for a race you invented, then you must be someone or something really important and where can you ever find people who can cuss and scream at you but listen to them anyway because you're hypnotized by their accents?

And then there were dragons and bastards who are heroes (who apparently do not wish to kill their own kin), incestual races and the dreaded mix to all the crazy beautiful...magic.

There is too much awesomeness that I cannot write due to overwhelming feelings of oashXKJhf1234, go watch it and learn why GRRM likes to make people cry but still get paid to do it anyway.

The brilliant thing is, this show is almost impossible to cancel since GRRM has narrated everything he had wanted in lieu of writing and production of the whole series should he reach an untimely death :)
So who takes the throne? Who knows. Go watch/read now! Or else let this be done unto you

As for the reference of my title, you'll have to figure that one yourself ;)

From the Mothership and Back

What is HumanHeartNature?

Basically it is an all organic hodgepodge of beauty and health care products which me and my family are going gaga over. Why? Well one, because all products are made mostly from natural substances and materials which neither harm your skin nor your wallet and two, it supports charity. I have never been so happy to spend 300 pesos on complete hair care products which smells so good to eat that the scent could cause people to turn heads and wonder where the Fruitas stand is nearby (harhar). HHN provides a variety of products for head to toe care which doesn't leave you guilty clutching excitedly on their recycled paper bags when you leave their store or receive your order.
HHN is Pro-Philippines in the sense that it promotes indigenous means and materials in their manufacturing and sales.
HHN is Pro-Poor as it reaches out to those seeking employment and strengthens our workers in agriculture/farming and is teamed up with Gawad Kalinga and other organizations which help farmers in particular with their livelihood.
HHN is of course Pro-environment. Unlike other products who use large quantities of chemicals or synthesized materials which are harmful to our body, HHN aims to create products which prevents any toxic reactions that are also harmful to the environment.
What's not to love right? It's fairly priced, you have a variety of choices and you get to shop for charity!

AAAANNND, it is CRUELTY FREE.

I was told by my Psych prof that I looked like a cartoon...I agreed.

I have always been an artsy person (well at least I claim to be). I'm very eccentric (no duh) and partly because I love all things weird and flamboyant -looking. If my high school had no uniforms, I would probably be seen wearing weirdly matched pieces of black overhauls or whatnot. I'm not the kind of artist carries around a sketch pad and pencil (I couldn't draw if it saved my life). I am more of what you call a literal 'expressionist.' I enjoy the dramatic arts (back and frontstage). I adore literary arts and I am always fascinated and inspired by the more concrete and visual art. I can paint a little but not as well as my 'laking Nido' panganay ate and Monet-ish/AnneRiceinthemaking other ate but I'm...aiiiyyyttt. I found more comfort and satisfaction with...waitforit....cosmetics and body paint. I dunno. There's something about being able to transform the way you look through a few brush strokes and whatnot. I love it. Sometimes, I obsess about a certain art piece that I tend to think of ways to create something similar to it haha and thus I found the easiest (in my opinion anyway) and budget friendly way (I use my own skin--a reusable canvass. WARNING: Improper skin care could cause permanent damage!).

Like my writing, my 'body art' comes with a mood and sometimes, it gets stingy but I have to control it. It's pretty pesky and the art takes quite some time to complete (documentation is even longer!). Admit it, there are few non-vain people left in the world. I'm pretty sure everyone has gotten a BA on the 'know my perfect angle through my camera-phone' course. So I thought, hey, maybe I could change it up!

I guess my fascination with body art came from my childhood of Anime, Manga and YA fangirling. When I was in elementary, I've always wanted to try cosplaying. It's probably the fault of Questor Magazine, K-zone  and well...JAPAN. The hobby wasn't very popular back then and our province didn't hold much events for that. Heck, Halloween isn't even celebrated here that much and so my some crazy coincidence, an opening in High School occurred combining my love for theatre and RPG- declamation. I wrote my own piece as inpired by my favorite musical ever- A.L.Webber's The Phantom of the Opera entitled, "Masquerade." I originally opted to just wear some of my dad's coats but my mom insisted that we have a cape and mask made for the role. Yeap, that's my mom for ya. And it all paid off, I won third and I was just a sophomore back then (ahihihi, modesty aside). Something lit up that day and I just enjoyed the whole costume gig. I wasn't that fond of make up then. I didn't even know how to put them on! But thanks to yearly competitions and occasional school plays, I was given more opportunities to practice the craft. It was only during the college that I was able to attend some cons and do shoots during breaks or free times. Occasionally, I would just do some practice makeup for fun and then schedule went hectic and I said bye bye to formal Cosplay and cons and went on with creative make-up and photography. And tadaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! here are two compilations of some of my works:
Top to bottom: Ring Mistress (OC), Effie Trinket inspired makeup (Hunger Games), Black Swan, Mad Hatter, Bananach (Wicked Lovely), Misa Amane (Death Note), Ring Mistress 2, Ciel Phantomhive Female (Kuroshitsuji)

L-R: Death from the Sandman, Citizen of Capitol (Hunger Games), Selina Kyle aka Cat Woman (DC), Lady Joker (DC), Loki inspired makeup (Marvel), Bananach inspired makeup (Wicked Lovely), Vampire

All taken from 2000-12 by me. Lots more where that came from as well as makeup I did for others. I'll probably talk about my projects per collection in separate posts as well include some short tutorials and product reviews.

One of my psych professors told me that I looked like a cartoon well an anime to be exact. Funny how she said that without knowledge of my cosplaying past, haha, I thought it was because of my animated personality or something but I guess, I kind look pleasantly weird?

You what they say, you can't just major in psych without being a little crazy XD

I learn and get inspirations for my work through these people here:
Youtube artists like audfaced  (http://www.youtube.com/user/audfaced). She does great cover makeups which are easy to follow. She uses a variety of makeups which aren't necessarily hard to find nor are too expensive and some of her renditions are actually characters that I love! Not very conventional but that's what I love about her :D

Of course Michelle Phan (http://www.michellephan.com/cat/beauty), taught me the basics about makeup for any and every event. She's very meticulous and I am amazed abut her step by step methods. Also, she's an Otaku so she's fun to watch!

Also, Klaire (http://www.youtube.com/user/KlairedelysArt?feature=plcp) is one of my favorites. She makes very precise brush strokes which amazes me! All of her works should be displayed in galleries! haha

I also take some cues from Regina Belmonte (http://vivatregina.tumblr.com/) have you seen her Avatar makeup? AH-MAZ(E)-ING!

In a more contemporary sense, I love these three artists the most:

Dave Mckean -because above all, he is the most eccentric out of them. Genius.

Andy Warhol- because he is not afraid to do crazy and be crazy.

Jill Thompson- because she is not afraid of color.

I never get bored with looking at their works. Another thing I love about them? They're not afraid to be themselves :)

So here I am at trying not to be afraid of being myself haha. Make-up less me:

Note: Taken during a good day haha (count how many times I've used the word).

The Bully is Back

I have not been an active blogger or any other so-called active netizen for quite a while now and wow, do I have a lot of catching up. I've decided to revive my blog here since I ought to have some sort of space where I could vent some stuff in my head and double as archive for some uh...well actual stuff. It's practically personal and I'm not expecting anyone to actually read my posts. This just serves as a cathartic purposed but   if you do happen to drop by I hope you enjoy reading my blurbs. (Forgive typos and such since I seldom check my posts haha).

So...what have I been up to? Basically this---Senior University life. BS Psychology ain't easy I tell ya but hey , its hella fun to know the workings of the human mind and personality. Plus preparing for Med school and such (Thesis + Applications), its amazing how I still have time to do all of this. It helps, I guess.

If you've noticed the side bar labeled "Welcome to my Dollhouse," you'll encounter a description of what you can expect to read/see from my posts. I love Art. I love Science. I love Literature. And that is why I intend to mash up all of my crazy interests and talk about them here.

I don't really update on a certain cue. I update when I can, so yeah.... (I am behind maintenance of my dA Cosplay and Art group site, at least 2 chapters behind my Avengers fanfiction, 50 hours away from OJT completion and 3 tests away from finishing prelims exams, you dig?)

I forgot other points I wanted to write. I'm pretty sure I was about to write something mind-boggling and quotable and probably give you a link somewhere...So, I'll stop here.

P.S Weather's still cats and dogs so, keep safe guys and always be on alert to help others.

Philippine Storm Aftermath

It is a trying time for us and I took this time to help spread awareness of my current situation.

I do apologize for using this account to ask for your help. But this is the least that I could do.
Some of us are lucky enough to safe, warm and fed while some are need of more supplies and comfort and so if you know anyone or if you yourself would like to help in any way, it is very much appreciated.
(Let's not entertain conspiracy theories and point fingers at whose at fault,
let us all focus on the important matter at hand)
Here are some websites you can visit to learn how you can help.

Summer = Busy

This is just a filler post :O

ALOT I mean ALOT has happened in the past few er, months? since I last posted.

To put thoughts into summary:
Learned. Coped. Moved on.

Anywho, it has been a riveting start of the summer so far all because of our dreaded doomsday *due horror quartet* GRADE POSTING!

Any student from UST would know the amount of stress you get from counting the days 'til UST posts the grades online. Seriously, I've heard urban legends that 9 out of 10 students online per minute get anxiety attacks while waiting for myuste to open. Believe me, refreshing the page when it CANNOT CONNECT TO SERVER blah blah O_O seriously, tension much?
I hope the people in charge of the site maintenance could fix the system on the next posting or at least the next time we need to use it. The suspense could literally kill people...
Anywho, the wait was worth it :DDDDDDDDD

I have been quite the busy bod these past 2 weeks of summer. I am simply loving being a workhalic when it comes to stuff I'm actually interested in haha well, I actually like being one just because at times. I dunno, I can't stay put sometimes XD

I have a lot ahead of me this summer. I've actually thought about taking some subjects for Med but then due to some advice and thinking, I've decided to just enroll for NMAT reviews for July. If I do need to take some subjects I'll take them at the same time as my OJT. I do hope my friends will have fun during their summer classes and such.

This summer is actually my last real summer. I'll be so busy with my academic summer for the next two years that's why I plan to make the most of it. And seriously, my creative outlet needs reviving.

I'm dealing with alot right now, both things that I can and cannot handle. Among those involve decisions that are too hard to make at the moment. I guess these are things that test my faith-in myself and in Him. I can't and won't blame anything or anyone for the times that I feel that things are all happening too fast, I guess it's a just for life to breeze on by to get to the interesting parts. :)

There are some things that happened in the past month that I would really like to focus on and discuss but due to sensitive content and my desire to respect the privacy of a few individuals, i will refrain from doing so. I do apologize for mentioning this which I am sure causes quite a stir of curiosity to the one reading this post. Rest assured, the events that occurred and the result thereof will remain with me. :) All I have to say is, I'm glad it's over with and yes, it has all made us a bit more mature if I do say so myself.

This summer, I will revamp myself in preparation for the hectic Major-filled (not much electives on our syllabus) school year to come. Since our class doesn't start until the 21st or June, I'll make each day count. Ahhh health comes first, then leisure then sloth XD haha

Have a happy summer!

Some things on my checklist:
-fix stuff for donations, auctions and sale
-schedule 2 shoots and 1 party
-schedule family get away and friend bonding
-update EVERY site I've joined
-FINISH FP novel
-FINISH everything on my reading list
-update blog
-............complete my checklist

Hannah's Butterfly

(c) fayerayos 2010
"One little thing as small as a flutter of a butterfly can change man kind."
-The Butterfly Effect

You know how they say that people who've passed on to the afterlife always have their own ways of coming back? You know like, how the Native American's believe that their Spirits travel on to Nature-trees, the wind, water- and such?

Well, I believe there's a half-truth in that.

When I was little, my yaya would always tell me that if I see a white butterfly floating around me, that would mean that a loved one was visiting. I guess the color white signified something like that of purity or peace. A peace that could only be called pristine-heavenly peace. A peace so exquisite that only the simplest of creatures could carry it without overwhelming its meaning.

A butterfly's flutter is such an amazing thing to ponder on. At times it makes me think how such thin pairs of skin could make a little critter fly. I mean, it must be an amazing feeling to fly-to float. Feeling so weightless and condescending at the same time without ever having to feel gravity pull you down so fast when you jump. It's a thrill, really. I mean, I wouldn't know the first thing about flying but I could imagine how exhilarating it must feel to be able to reach, at least, near heaven.

I guess that's why small winged creatures are able to reach such height-their simplicity and innocence. It is stated afterall in the bible, that unless we become like little children, we would not be able to enter Heaven.

A butterfly in a way I guess, dictates, how powerful small simple things are for in simplicity, we find true beauty and only those who know true beauty can know to love-divine.

Maybe you're probably wondering where this is leading to right now. I mean all these talk about the afterlife and a picture of a yellow butterfly. Well, this blog is no rant of mine. In fact, this blog post isn't really mine to share but it is something that should be shared for all, especially those who are in relationships. In general though, this is for everyone and anyone who loves.

The girl's name in the title of this post is (no, never was) my cousin, Hannah Rayos-Starankewicz. About 8 months ago while I was painting the feathers for my friend's Jabberwockee costume, I had a sudden strange feeling telling me to stop what I was doing, get out of the balcony and enter our room. As I opened the door, I was greeted by my two sisters and aunt who looked at me with such confused faces. I could tell immediately that they were talking business. I quickly asked what was up and then as soon as I got to sit my aunt broke the news for me and my sisters (again), "Wala na si Hannah... (Hannah's gone...)." I didn't know how to react to that and I just blurted out, "Are you sure?" with such a look of alarm. My aunt told us what she heard from ate Hannah's mom. It was only like hours ago when it was confirmed. I looked at my Ate Margaux (second eldest) at once who was busy logging in to FB to see if there was any news at all. I could tell that she couldn't digest the news easily. After all, among us three, she was closest to ate Hannah.

Ate Hannah's sudden passing at her young age was such a shocking occurrence that summer. But what was most heartbreaking was the number of things that was supposed to happen prior to her leaving us and the number of facts attached to her.

First of all, ate Hannah was residing in the US with her mom already, so, we didn't really have much communication except online but before that, she, my sister and my other cousins would go and have a ton of outtings and sleep overs. In my case, the last that I really spoke to her was when she was still in High School.

Here's her story or at least some facts you should know about her. (Disclaimer: I don't have the complete details listed here and some facts pertaining to her COD and such are quite a blurred aspect for me since I didn't have the heart to ask for the full story. After all, it's still an open wound. So I apologize if there are inconsistencies and I would most definitely stand corrected if there are some.)

According to my relatives, the day that ate Hannah was brought to the hospital was the day when she was already fixing and fitting her Wedding gown. (Yes, ate Hannah, was in fact engaged that time to her boyfriend of more or less 5 years. They were actually set to be married shortly after her graduation and move in to their new home.) When she and her mom got home, ate Hannah asked my aunt to cook her something for dinner as she went up to her room to rest (I think she was still able to change her FB status to "Need more hugs."), when my aunt went to call her, she wasn't responding, worried because of this fact, my aunt rushed to her room and next thing they knew, she was rushed unconscious to the hospital. Kuya Russel (her fiance) was already looking for them and calling them up since ate Hannah wasn't responding to his texts and calls and a few moments later, my aunt had called him and told him the news...

The morning after passing was supposed to be her graduation as well...

I really can't imagine how the people closest to her (especially her parents and Kuya Russel) felt at that very moment. I mean, for her fiance.... The bridge was left wide open for them to cross to the married life already and then in an unexpected manner, that bridge came tumbling down. For a mother to feel so disheartened to not see her daughter march for college graduation and better yet walk down the isle.... There are no words for this.

Days went by silently as the family prepared for her services both in the US and here in the Philippines. Her FB wall got filled up with a ton of bittersweet messages and the same went with their wedsite which I think is still there.

It was only until the day for her to return home and prepare for her burial at the cemetery in our province. As soon as we stepped in to her holding room, everyone was silenced. At a distance, I could already see her beautiful and peaceful face laid out in her resting bed. Then I noticed the intricately spun translucent weaves of white cloth that enveloped her body and crowned her head-she was dressed in her wedding gown. WOW. I didn't know how to react and in fact I can't even describe what we all felt as we drew nearer and prayed for her eternal rest. After praying, we just sat their, silent and reflecting about something that I can't quite distinguish as a cross between sadness and denial thinking and begging for all of us to achieve acceptance soon. I looked around the room, everyone was relatively calm especially at the times when her video montage played. My sister was very emotional (she cried actually, well most of us did), the others tried their best to keep their smiles, telling her how beautiful she is. That's when I felt myself smile and felt the trickling of tears on my cheeks. I dunno why, but I think ate Hannah was there, cheering US up. I took a few more minutes of silence I tell I went to the table where all of her wedding paraphernalia, her pictures, mementos and even some personalized stuff given to her by her friends. At the side near her rest-bed, was her choir/toga dress.

My sisters, cousins and I took our time to go through her stuff but the first thing that we took hold of was the set of newly bought and arranged photoalbums. The photos inside gave us an emotional rush since inside we saw pictures of her memorial services in the states where her bridal entourage was all dressed in their wedding dresses, tux and motifs, even down to their make-up. EVERYTHING, that would have looked like her wedding isle. Her casket, was actually white. We went through page per page, and it was really hard at first but then really heartwarming to know how much people loved her.

I was really grateful for this one unforgettable gesture that her close friends did for her (we had common friends pala, it's amazing how you can still bring us together ate). I saw a newly bought Chowking Chaofan together with KFC's hotshots and on the packette was written, "You're favorite." That simple gesture made a big impact on how much time and place does not transcend great memories shared by the great loves of your life.

There were a number of handwritten letters laid out as well but I wasn't able to go through them all since my aunt and her fiance and her family have arrived already. We immediately came to greet her and offer our condolences. My aunt remained very calmed when she introduced us and it was then when I saw how much Kuya Russel felt beaten up by the things that happened. He looked rested enough, in fact, he remained casual but what gave his sorrow away was his eyes. The moment that he stepped inside, his eyes fixated only on his love. We all said nothing much and just gave my aunt tight hugs but what was most surprising at that moment was when my mom approached my aunt and my aunt burst into tears into her arms saying, "Siya ang buhay ko...(she is my life.)" My mom was close to my aunt and clearly from mother-mother, she felt what my aunt felt.

The night went by well and in her last night where my parents attended, they told me that it was actually quite a funny, light-hearted night. The priest made his sermon so. I guess it would be what ate Hannah would have wanted.

On the day of her funeral, we all went early in order to pay our respects and say goodbye (for now of course), everyone actually dressed formally for that occasion even without being asked to. There were a lot people all right and I am happy about that fact. I can't really remember much of what was said at that time because of the emotional bombardment I felt. What I do remember is the layout of the place. It was what I would imagine and assume what her reception would have looked like. In fact, there WAS a sort of reception after she was laid to rest.

Before that though, we were all handed out roses and thin white envelopes, we were even instructed to open up the envelopes at a certain time and we didn't even know what was inside and to our surprise, what was inside was all sorts of this beautiful winged creatures called butterflies.

(c) fayerayos 2010

Butterflies flew around us beautifully and what we came to notice was the really big once wouldn't leave the parameter of the table in fact I tried (sorry for this) lifting the table cloth and even shook it a bit and to no avail did it take flight. I guess it was ate Hannah's way of telling us that she's not really gone and she'll never leave us. I was actually able to take the photos with my phone because the butterfly was so cooperative (so technically, I took a picture of her). So every time I see a yellow butterfly, I think of her.

(So technically ((is there another word for technically?)) yaya, there were a million ate Hannah's with us at that time. :D)

The butterfly I took a photo of may not be white but the yellowness of things always signify something as beautiful was clarity and that is none other than-light. Ate Hannah shed a new light and a new hope for all of us reminding us to take seriously the meaning of living life to the fullest and by never being afraid to take chances.

It saddens me quite a bit how 'modern relationships' or the come-and-goes of dating have made it to the mainstream wave. I mean, sure people take their sweet time playing around not looking for real lasting relationships until they turn old and soggy. In fact, it actually seems unfair for my cousin...but, God always has a reason for things that come by unexpectedly. It is after all a 'REAL'-ationship. I just really wished that there were more people in the world who still believe in real relationships. It may seem a little weird for me to write on this topic and for people who know, they know that I am far too young and busy to be looking for a relationship right now but hey, in the future, I ended to find the right and lasting partner, not just someone just because.

Love doesn't have to be all about a boy and a girl in love. Love comes in all sorts-family, friendship, work, faith and others. Real "love means ever having to say you're sorry."- Quoted from the the novel and 1970 film Love Story. It's all about giving time and giving meaning. To love is to feel and be felt. To love is to have faith and trust and most of all to love is to LIVE.

Even after her passing, Kuya Russel found time to tell her how much he still loved her even by just posting sweet little notes on her wall. I guess, the love that transcends time or better yet, the love that goes even beyond life, still exists and I am positive that ate Hannah reciprocates the same kind of love her him as she is now happily watching over him and her loved ones from Heaven. I am happy to say that Kuya Russel, his family and my family are coping well now, all because of her extreme extension of life given to each of us. And as she would have celebrated another birthday last January 7, I would like to wish her a happy party with the angels.I actually imagine you having wings like that of a white butterfly, at least when the time comes for us to join you, you could give us a crash course in flying XD

My New Companions

I spent the whole of 2010 writing on these two. My Belle De Jour Planner and My Daily Gospel. Writing on them actually helped shaped my life better especially because I just started college them. College is no joke and seriously, I needed to get more organized with the bundle of school work and still have time to reflect and pray. I've felt the need to utilize their uses since I found life less complicated since I started planning and writing on them and true enough, it has paid off. I wasn't exactly able to complete the whole use of both of them and I plan to change that. 2010 was a good year and I plan to make 2011 even better.

Say hello to my new companions! My sisters got them for me for Christmas :D A new BDJ planner for all my scheduling and coupon needs, a limited edition recolored version of The Sandman: Dream Country for inspiration, a Mac duo face cake for all my vanity needs, a 2-DVD copy of one of my most favorite films to date, INCEPTION, to remind me of the joys of my course and the DVD-CD copy of 30 Second's to Mars' latest album, THIS IS WAR, for my ME time. My mom also gave me a 2011 copy of The Daily Gospel (not pictured) to always remind me that all things can only be possible with God.

Here's to the New Year of possibilities and success!

End the year with a bang or boom

It’s been at least half a month since I last played RockBand, about half a year since my last Con, 2 and a half years since I last played with my guitar and now here I am typing this entry on my blog New Year’s Eve. This blog hasn’t been online for long but since I first started it, it has changed my life in a number of ways unimaginable. I feel kind of bipolar and schizophrenic at the same time whenever I write on this blog. One moment I’m ranting about this thing that happened and the next I’m being all emotional and thankful for another. I feel different at times. Lighter in the least whenever I write here. Typically, I’m not one to shy away from how I truly feel when it comes to writing. This blog has served as a part of my journal that I am willing to share and relate with others. I fear no such criticism and anger with what I write here. And if I acquire readers that I am not in close relations with, please forgive my honest and seemingly shocking language. I do not mean to harm anyone or anything. I am here simply because I want to express myself in the most truthful way possible. I may not always share everything that happens in my life but I will write things that I think are beneficial to others. I may seem opinionated and selfish and I do apologize but please be cautious with judgment since what I state is merely a personal opinion and it does not reflect my whole being in the most one-sided manner. I do thank all those people which have made my stay here an enjoyable and I do hope to become more active with managing my blog. I have other online work places you see and with the hectic time in school , I cannot promise a regular update. Still, I want to make an effort to update. My time here means time for myself. I am a workaholic and sometimes I tend to work too much. And this year, I will avoid at all costs overworking myself for I’ve learned that the hard way.

It’s the New Year and seriously, I would like to start fresh in a number of ways. Believe it or not, at 18, I still make a list my New Year’s Resolutions. Sad to say, for the past years, I honestly never fulfill the whole list but I do try. I guess what my list is trying to tell me is to be more REALISTIC XD haha! FOINE!

Anywho, hopefully my more realistic list will get more checkmarks this coming year. Hey couldn’t blame a girl for wishing to go to AFA LOL.

This year has been quite a ride. From almost making it to the Dean’s List (BITTER!!!), to my 18th birthday, wowza, I can’t believe how time has passed by so quickly!

Posted below are a few pictures and screen shots of what I’ve been up to the whole year.

You're never too old for Santa

PICTURE BLOG

Every year, we plan a day where we go stuff ourselves, go shopping and basically just relax for a at least a day or two. The whole trip was quite something alright but it didn't exactly start of in great terms.

Our car got a flat tire from all of the things that we brought with us, including the live chickens that my dad's friend ordered. We were already at mid-SLEX when it happened. Thank goodness though that my dad, ever so prepared, brought with him 3 jacks XD Yes, his spare has a spare :D Our driver, Kuya Santi, was also able to change the tire within a few minutes. Thank goodness we were close by a gasoline/vulcanizing station and we were able to arrive in Manila safely. Our first stop was at Burger King in E-rod where we waited for my eldest to arrive. We had breakfast there and I took a few family photos while waiting. (More photos can be seen on my FB account. I won't be posting a lot of fam photos here for privacy reasons.)

I took this photo when my dad was giving an alternate direction towards our favorite mall. There was bad traffic that afternoon. I took us an hour or so to arrive.

The day was a success and the best part of it all was when my nephew got to meet Santa for the very first time. (And yes, it's okay for kids to believe in jolly 'ol St. Nicholas. :D) Anything to light up the face of your loved one :3 That's what I always say.

The ride back to the place we were staying that night was reasonably fast. I was able to practice a bit of lightpainting and fractional photography on the way. I'm still a little rusty with my new baby EOS 500D. I think, the camera that I got as a debut/surprise Christmas present suits me well. It's handy, practical, and I can point and shoot photos as well as film. ;)) barely read the manual, bet hey, my old de-film photojournalism days sure are coming in handy.

Happy Holidays!

Will post more photos soon! :DDDDD

Out of this world

doodle by yours truly
By popular demand XD

According to the ever trusted Wikipedia,

Alien or Aliens may refer to:

In short SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT BELONG OR CLAIMSTOBELONGWHENINFACTNOONECARESABOUTTHEIRSELFISHTAKEOVEROFMANKIND'SHARDWORK.

I've met a certain ET who should most definitely take a rocketship home. I'm sorry but whoever you are, you are getting on my nerves. It's bad enough that you (among your kind) claim to be this highly intelligent hardworking species but you just won't stop at that. You want to take over the world and all its glory and claim that you've done it all on your own and benefit from your own hard work. That's bull. Take the movies perse, is not through observation of these supernatural beings on humans that they are able to conquer the planet? Is it not that they change their skin in order to blend with our species? To belong? (Yeah, you can trash the thing about the movies shit but I will state my point.)

There are just these annoying people with weird faces who love basking in reflected glory! I mean who does that? Say for example, lie in front of your professor and be all high and mighty about an assignment that you contributed little to? Hello! Modesty aside, I WAS APPOINTED THE LEADER. And I was even considerate enough to give you little work in order for you to meet the deadline of another project! And to think you were the last person to send me your share of the work which turned up WRONG. I didn't bother letting you correct it because of the lack of time, I wasn't even able to study well for a quiz because of said homework. YOU really boiled it all when you went all "jolly-airhead" when you volunteered to talk about our assignment. Your pretentious explanation of what our homework is about sickens me. Why? Well first of, it's a RESEARCH work, YOU were supposed to READ the JOURNALS that YOU DENIED and IMPATIENTLY didn't WAIT for. All that false passion shit, does not work well with me. And guess what, you would've compensated if you asked for me to HELP you. Damn it. YOU ARE A SELFISH CRETIN.

I say,
Take YOU and YOUR EGO home to OUTERSPACE.

You do not belong.
No human would ever be so vile.

Modesty aside once more, I am generally a patient and nice person and considering the amount of ethics that I gave to you because of "issues" with others, you disgust me to the core.

I am trying to just be casual with you because you are still "allegedly" a person.

But do that again and you'll see STARS :))) And I promise, that one's gonna take you home >:D

P.S Have you ever watched Mars Attacks, you know the Burton Classic? Well, I've always wondered if you listen to this music on you overly used earphones, that one day, your permanently tipped head will explode.

Yes. I get mad but only for good reason, because you stupid alien, most definitely did NOT COME IN PEACE.
